More about our ingredients
Apple fiber
Apple fiber adds a slight sweetness to our broth but more importantly, gives us soluble fiber - pectin.
Pectin survives our stomach acid and acts as a prebiotic. Feeding our microbiome and improving our overall gut health.
Astragalus
Astragalus has been used as an immune modulator for centuries. It's filled with water soluble polysaccharides that reduce inflammation, boost immunity, and have anti-microbial effects. Astragalus also regulates our intestines microbiota, helps with nutrient absorption and strengthens our intestinal barrier.
Burdock
Burdock is a great source of inulin, a natural dietary fiber that aids digestion. Burdock also contains high levels of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Nettles
Stinging nettles are rich in nutrients and have been used for over a millennia for their anti inflammatory properties. An antioxidant and nutrient dense powerhouse!
Shiitake
Not only tasty but incredibly beneficial! Shiitake are filled with polysaccharides like beta-glucans. These compounds have been shown to modulate our immune system, lower cholesterol and glucose, and act as a prebiotic that help our gut microbiome.
