Why forest grown shiitake?

Growing shiitake underneath the tree canopy has several benefits. While i'm tending to the shiitake, i'm also taking care of the forest. Removing invasive species, culling diseased trees, and increasing biodiversity.

Outdoor cultivated shiitake are shown to have a stronger flavor and a higher level of beneficial polysaccharides than indoor cultivated shiitake.

Forest grown mushrooms are incredibly sustainable! Zero chemicals are used and everything goes right back into the soil once a mushroom log is finished producing.

How can biome broth help improve health?

Biome broth was made to support my own health. I've dealt with digestive problems my whole life and desperately needed help, but hate taking costly supplements whose ingredient sourcing is murky at best.

Biome broth's ingredients contain beneficial polysaccharides, prebiotic fibers that feed your microbiome and b-glucans from shiitake--all of which are water soluble and bioavailable, and regeneratively grown-- because our microbiome is healthier when we take care of the macrobiome around us.

What does it taste like?

A savory, earthy, umami bomb! Shiitake helps add a rich and meaty flavor, while herbs like burdock and nettles add a warming, earthy spice!

How can I incorporate it daily?

Enjoy first thing in the morning to help settle your stomach and calm your nerves. Or, drink as a pre or post dinner aperitif/digestif.

You can also incorporate it into tasty soups, stews or seasonings, a mushroom risotto is my favorite. There's no wrong way to use it!
